VIRTUAL MARINE BIOLOGY CAMPSend your kids to Virtual Marine Biology Camp! Put on by Oceans Initiative, camp will be held every Monday and Thursday at 1 pm our time on Facebook and Instagram. Videos of the hosts are saved to their Facebook page (linked here). Instagram videos with side by side video of the hosts and guests will stay up on their Instagram story for 24 hours before disappearing (linked here).

BREAKOUT EDUBreakout EDU has created this collection of free digital Breakout Games your kids can play from home. Each game comes with a description and grade recommendation. You can also create a parent account to get hints if your student needs a little help along the way to breaking out. Breakout EDU along with literary themed digital escape rooms are linked for your students on our Fun and Games page.

pbs kids dailyPBS Kids Daily is offering a daily newsletter filled with activities your kids can do at home. PBS Kids also offers a free video app (linked here) for on-demand educational videos and a game app (linked here) of almost 200 educational games for your kids to play.

CAPSTONECapstone, a publisher of many popular children’s books, has great at home learning resources such as crafts, science experiments, coloring sheets, recipes, and more based on some of their most popular books. Your students have access to Capstone’s ebook libraries (PebbleGo, PebbleGo Next, and Capstone Interactive) on our Digital Reading and Book Resources page.

WHO WAS? ADVENTURE GAMEThe Who Was? Adventure game is a student favorite in the Markesan Elementary Library! Created based off of the popular Who Was? biography book series, this app tests kids’ knowledge of historical figures. This is not listed on the Fun and Games page because it is only available as an app on a device, but it’s free! Great for 3rd-5th graders.
